I visited France in 1998,I convinced my brothers MIke and Rene and my sister Lourdes and brother in law Carlos to come with me. Our Journey lasted 14 days, starting in Paris where we took the fast train to Bordeaux, here we rented a car and cross the entire country stopping in lush vineyards, the Laquedoc region famous for its rare black troufles and medieval villages; next on our stop were the royal chateaux country and visiting impressive castles and abbeys and finally the Alsace and the Route De Vin ( the wine route), the picturesque flowered villages looks if they were taken out of a storybook, with half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets and colorful courtyards. It is very interesting to see how these well preserved renaissance villages, whose captivating old houses are so brightly painted it is hard to believe the colors are historically aunthentic..... I need to retire here !!!!
